#ldsconf

On Facebook, Mike has a mission group that he follows. Sister Snow, his mission president's wife, said several weeks ago if they wanted to see what President Snow looked like to watch Saturday, mornings conference. Mike figured that meant, he would be speaking and asked the Stake President for tickets. Brent and Julie watched the little girls while we went. It was the kids first experience, Jack wasn't too thrilled until Mike told Jack why he was excited about it. We left at 8:50 and barely arrived in our seats at 9:58 just in time for the meeting to begin. Parking was crazy, the picketers out front were even crazier but once inside the spirit reminded me that the sacrifice of getting her was worth it. As was seeing and hearing the Prophet and President Snow speak. We had to wait in line to go through security before entering the conference center. And only those with tickets are allowed in. Which is wonderful, because there were a lot of haters of the church outside! We also got stuck up on the balcony because they forgot to unlock the gates which are locked to not let those haters inside. It was eye opening for me and esp for the kids to hear and witness but allowed us a good opportunity to teach and remind the kids what we believe. And that anyone is free to choose how and what they may.

Here we are finally in our seats literally minutes before the choir started to sing.
Walking back to the choir, we took a picture in front of the temple water fountain as Jack called it. The flowers out were amazing! I love spring blooms. At the Lion House, the gardens were all flowers instead of grass. One day!

After the conference, up on the roof. The sunshine was out and it brought joy to all our hearts! The closing song was amazing and filled me with joy. I love the gospel and am grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!

One of my favorite songs and got to listen to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sing it.

While, we were away at Conference, the little girls were entertaining Grandma and Grandpa. They went to Village Inn for breakfast and then played outside and with the balloons and static electricity before G&G headed to Idaho for the weekend to visit Julie's parents. They are amazing and I'm so grateful to come home to a swept floor ( it had lots of coconut from cake all week). With Mike's job loss, I went to work extra last week and then spent the other day at the doctor so the floor was really bad. Thank you for your love and prayers and help when ever we ask.
