Jack woke up and saw his 3 balloons and was almost just as excited about the balloons as his big present waiting for him to open. It was rather big and intimidating.
After pizza dinner, Jack opened some other gifts. He now has a matching shirt like his dad! And new swim shorts, flip flops, another basketball (so he and Maddy don't fight over the one ball).
And aren't' these two cute!
Now for the bug party, I admit it was totally my idea. I wanted a "themed" birthday for Jack. My Aunt gave us the coolest caterpillar cake pan and the kids had been dieing to decorate the caterpillar. SO, I gave in and let them be the creator this week. Here's what we got.
It was quite challenging to make and gave me a headache trying to supervise. BUT it was delicious!
Jack said his wish came true he blew out the candles!
He choose the head and picked it right up and took a bite, forks were not an option.
Jack got his wish for a basketball hoop. He's got a pretty good shot already!
Watch out Utah Jazz here he comes!

We'll also be celebrating Jack's birthday this weekend when family is in town for Lexi's blessing. What a lucky boy to have 2 parties!

In one of my favorite movies, the main character suggests that your own children "are the most delightful people you will ever meet." I love watching my kids grow and seeing who they are becomming.
