Seriously!

I'm at a loss for words. How can someone be so happy yet so sad at the same time. We have been so blessed and my heart and my tears are proof of how blessed we are. I know I've prayed a lot in my life but I can't remember ever saying more prayers then I have this week.

January 18, Mike and most of the employees at Dotcomsecrets.com were laid off from a job that did over 8.5 million dollars last year. No one saw it coming and yet there was nothing we could do. Wow, the pit in our stomachs wouldn't go away. Mike looked for jobs that day, Craigs list of all places. Nothing in Boise, so he looked in Salt Lake and applied for a job at Crowell Advertising. Tuesday a call came and he had a phone interview. Shortly after we went to the temple trying to figure out where we were supposed to go. Tuesday night, they called asking Mike to come and interview in person. So Wednesday he headed down for the interview on Thursday. Friday they sent a case study and he worked ALL weekend on it. One week later, January 25 Monday, while sitting in Russell's (the old boss) office he got the call, Crowell offered Mike his dream job. He has an MBA from the UofU in Marketing/Advertising. And they wanted him to start asap, so the next morning we loaded the car and drove Mike to the airport.

As the tears flow down my cheek, reality has sunk in. The best is that my family will be together. I won't be a single mom while my husband is working in a different state. I have yet to pack the first box, denial probably. My friends, ward and community have been my extended family the past 6 years. And with hardly any warning at all, we are saying goodbye. We'll be moving this weekend. But Boise will always be in our hearts. And I promise to keep in touch via blogger, fb and phone calls. Thanks for your prayers and love.

Having gone through a similar experience ourselves, I know how hard it was to leave family behind and move to Boise. And I know how very hard it was to leave "family" we had grown close to in Idaho and come back home. Being away from your real family does bring you closer to your friends and neighbors... they are the best family you have at hand, and can take care of you and love you in much the same way. But there is also something to be said for coming home when it's the right time. Things just seem to fall in to place (obviously... all in a week???!!!) and it is wonderful to return HOME. We've been back almost as long as they've been gone, and we still have many dear friends in Boise who will ALWAYS have a place in our hearts. And we have a place in theirs, because, well... we're family! They will never forget you. Your kids will always be "from Boise"... your life there will always be a part of who you are now. And isn't that a wonderful thing?
Speaking from the Utah side of your friends, WELCOME HOME!!! We’re excited to have you back!

My heart breaks for the tugging that's going to continue going on in your heart. We have been SO SO grateful for your friends in Boise and for your time there. We know you're going to miss them, you're going to miss your home, your ward, your favorite parks, so many things. We'll continue to keep you in our prayers. And we're going to continue to be ever so excited to help you move back to Utah!!!!

This is too creepy Makinzee. Weren't we just blogging about this very thing? Heavenly Father knew your heart and He was ready to send you home. Amazing how quickly Mike found a job. What a blessing, and a confirmation of what God's will is at this time for your family. Sending you big hugs and lots of prayers!

Wow, what a whirlwind past few days it has been huh?! I can really see the Lord's hand in your life though. He has truly blessed you guys. As hard as it will be to leave the past 6 years of your life and the only home your kids have ever known, I know you will settle right in back in Utah and being around family will make it that much easier. You are one of the sweetest & happiest people I know and just the fact that you have made so many friends (who have essentially become family) in Boise shows what a special person you are. You will not have a problem picking up right where you left off. I love you Kinz! I'm so glad we have stayed in touch all these years! See!! We've been able to keep in touch ALL these years - you will be just fine!! Thank goodness for blogs & facebook! I would love to come see you when I am up that way sometime so keep in touch & let me know how things go ok???

Good luck & CONGRATS on the new job! That's amazing that it is exactly what Mike graduated in! What a blessing. Good luck with the move. Moving is never fun.

Love you friend!! :) Big hugs coming your way from southern Utah!!

You are going to miss your friends in Boise so much. But we are so excited to get you back. I wish I could take off and help you move though.

See if there's a job there for Seth!! I am so happy that things are working out for you, but understand how painful this move will be for you. Maybe, your faithfulness over the last several years was just leading up to his "dream job". I know you guys will be OK--once the pain has dimmed a bit.

Say it isn't so... Guess we don't talk nearly enough. Just as I was thinking we really need to have Jack over!!! Sorry to hear that all this came about but that is great that you will have work! Blessings in disguise! Good luck with your new adventure! We will miss seeing you out walking and such!

I'm so sad to see you guys go. You have such a cute little family. We didn't even get to know you that well. Blake and I have talked about having you guys over and I guess we should have followed that thought and acted so we could have gotten to know you better. I'll miss seeing all the cute "do's" that you come up with for Maddie's hair. Please come back and visit. Boise will miss you; but I know how exciting it is to know you will be by your family. We are so blessed to have ours so close and now you will too

Hey lady! Wow- back to Utah! It is bittersweet, isn't it? We were right there about 5 months ago :), only no family to go to. I'm so glad you're going back to a second home and Mike has an AWESOME job. But, having just left Boise, I also understand the tears better than anyone.

The twists and turns on the path of life can be scary, especially when we can't see around the next corner. But, the path continues and there are more beautiful vistas to see. I hope you make many more happy memories in Utah!

I'm crying as I read this. I already miss all my Boise friends. At the same time, I can't wait to reconnect with all the Utah friends.

Thank you all so much for your well wishes. It really means a lot to us. You guys mean a lot to us.
