LIFE

LIFE has been crazy the past 3 weeks. Thanks so much for all the comments and thoughts and prayers and friendships to get us through it.

I finally found the camera that had lots of pictures from our LIFE in Boise. Seeing the house and friends and daily LIFE brought a tear to my eye. I miss those times. They will always have such special memories for us all. We still refer to it as home and have to rephrase the question and say our old LIFE or home.

Here is Mike over the weekend working on his case study which landed him his current job! He literally sat here all day/night/weekend with the exception of 3 hours at church. I honestly never knew how much this case study would change our LIFE. I even miss seeing the messy kitchen in the background. The week of January 25th is a blur. Here are some of the things I remember.
January 25: Mike went to Dotcomsecrets and found out he had a new job in Salt Lake that started the next day. He cleaned out his office, handed over his assignments and left the job that had been so good to us for the past 2 years.

January 26: Dropped Mike off at the airport.
January 27 & 28: Jack and Maddy's last days of preschool spent at Chuck E Cheese.

Jaunary 28-30. Pack, Pack, Pack. Thanks again to so many for babysitting, cleaning, packing, organizing and letting me cry on your shoulder.

Here are some pictures from Maddy and Jack's last day at preschool a field trip to Chuck E Cheese.

These pictures are hard and still make me cry. Me and my preschool momma friends.

Cutest Matthew sat on Bob the Builder all day!

Barney & Lexi

Addie, Maddy, Abby

And teacher Courtney

Maddy, Danene, Jack
The kids miss Danene and still talk about preschool. Having Chuck E Cheese field trip as the last day of class was like having a party except we had to go home and pack!

The rest of the week was a blur. With help of tons of friends, I managed to pack up all of my house! And it was spotless when my parents arrived Saturday morning to load everything up. More friends came to load everything onto the truck. My parents were going to stay the night but it was 3 and everything was done. So they loaded Maddy and Jack and headed back to Utah with our stuff. Nothing like a 10 hour day on the road. Thanks again Dad and Tif. WOW, have we accumulated a lot of stuff (really JUNK).

That night Mike and I organized, cleaned and cleaned. Woke up Sunday morning, went to Sacrament meeting said goodbye, cried, cried and headed home to Salt Lake. My dad and brother's met us at we unloaded our LIFE into a storage unit. We have visited often but it is so crazy in there it's hard to find anything. Including the kids social security numbers to get new health insurance, and a box of food that's missing. Oh well, we'll find everything soon. Right now we are enjoying LIFE and all that we have to LIVE for.

Our first week in Utah (Jan 31-Feb 7), we unpacked what we kept and organized and cleaned Grammie's house. She has been in Cali visiting Aunt Jill for 2 months. She'll be home on Monday and we are so blessed that she has let us live with her until our house sells in Boise.
Lexi has even adjusted to LIFE. During all the chaous she got her first two teeth. She stands up on her own in the middle of the room and has found a new seat. Not sure where she'll sit after we fill it up with firewood.

My brother's came for dinner. My bro/sis in law came for game night and LIFE has never been so good. We even went over on our minutes and had to up our plan because we are talking to so many people.

We went to Bridgit's and Gary's for a baby blessing. It was so fun to be close enough to go to a baby blessing. The kids played with 2nd cousins all night and had so much fun. After church on Sunday we headed down to Lehi and the kids had so much fun with cousin Kamryn and Karsyn.

Maddy & Jack keep asking if we can come back to Anna's and Kamryn's house. They forget this is our new LIFE.

Monday morning we headed up to my parents in Marion (aka Kamas). We watched Emma while my parents were vacationing in the Caribbean. Should of been us, different story for a different day. One day we'll get there.

We all just LOVE Emma to pieces. Maddy and Jack kept asking if they could come back another time. We all have forgotten this is LIFE for us. No more traveling back and occasionally visiting. We all are really excited to be close to family LIFE.

We arrived and set up as much baby proofing as we could. Chester the dog didn't mind his new friend. Lexi is always leaving goodies for Chester to snack on. But man did those little goodies, give him bad gas! People food really isn't good for dogs. But Lexi and Chester are still best buds.
Some of the other things we did while in Kamas. We swam at the Rec Center. Made forts with Emma's help. Played Barbies. Played Mario Kart on the Wii (i'll admit I even got hooked:), attended my first PT Conference, Book Fair, shopping at Food Towne, and making Valentine cookies.
Even Lexi enjoyed the icing!

We headed down the canyon on Friday. Maddy screamed all the way down because of the pressure on her ears. Us Boiseans aren't use to pressure going up and down, in and out. After heading to Costco and opening a bottle of Motrin the pain subsided and is better. We are back home at Grammies enjoying a nice Valentines/President's Day weekend. Grammie comes home Monday. Not sure who is in for a bigger surprise us or her!

I'm glad you made it to Utah safe and sound. We are house hunting right now and eventhough we'll be staying in the same city, we're not sure we'll end up in the same ward and schools -- such a crazy time, but exciting! No wonder moving is #3 on the list of the biggest stresses in life! yikes! good luck!!
