This morning we surprised him with another favorite. Poppy seed muffins from Costco. He decided to keep them for himself instead of taking them to work. These are a family favorite! And we couldn't let him go to work without blowing out a candle.

I really don't think Mike did more then open the box, the wrapping paper disappeared without him!
Hurray for a new shirt. Mike says clothes are not presents rather a necessity. I however, still like to give/get clothes as gifts! And I'm afraid that's all he got this year. BUT he is going with 3 buddies for the weekend, so that can be part of his gift too.
When we asked the kids what school the slippers came from, Maddy said "BYU" We laughed and said we'll they both have a "U" in it!

Who proposed? Mike, I felt the ring in his pocket and knew what was coming. Funny thing is that my mom did the same thing to my dad.

We love you, Mike and Makinzee. I'm glad we were able to share a minute with you guys last night and really hope you DO NOT CATCH what the kids have had!!!!
Oh, and make sure you don't have to do any blood screenings in the next few days. That's a lot of poppy seed! Should've asked what the cake was last night. I would have taken a big piece if I had known.... on second thought, it was probably good I didn't.

Sorry I'm commenting a few days late but happy birthday mike. And those are awesome slippers ;). I hope he had a great day despite having to celebrate other birthdays and everyone getting sick :(
