Guard Dog

The garden is planted and I am patiently awaiting sunshine for everything to continue to sprout and grow. We have plenty of water and rain but plants need sunshine to grow and produce. Guess who else has found the garden. The birds. Do you notice anything else in the garden?

We now have a guard dog. The beautiful jays have found that the green beans seeds are sprouting and they think they are tastey. So our guard dog is out protecting them. He was outside for a couple days before the kids noticed there was a dog in the garden. It's been too wet and rainy for the kids to go out and play. Lexi really wants to go out and play with the dog.

The guard dog is working although the jays are watching him. I might have to bring out the scarecrow and see what they think of him.

Hahaha. That's hilarious! I can't believe that's actually working! I never would've thought of doing that. :) And your garden looks amazing. We didn't plant yet, and we're waiting anxiously for the rain to clear so we can. *sigh* Come on SUN! :)

Your garden looks great! I'm jealous, I don't think we'll get one in this year, and I really wanted that fresh produce! My in-laws put a plastic owl in their garden, that seems to help.
