Most days our house is loaded with kids or the kids are down the street or across the street or around and down the corner playing with friends. Can I just say how lucky we are to have such amazing friends in our proximity!!
When we were house searching, I loved our house but the price tag and the monthly mortgage scared me to death. BUT I felt peace that this was where we were supposed to be even though I still think about the house with the kids tree house play room and the work that we've done at this house that was already done at that house. BUT i know this is where we are supposed to be for the mean time and I'm happy to be here.
On most Friday's, we have park pals. Last week we went to Camille's parents house aka Grandma Nae's and played in their yard, had a water balloon fight, and fed the ducks and geese.
And of course a silly picture with friends is a must.
After lunch, we launched water balloons.
And then attempted to catch them.
These pictures make me smile! At least 10 kids trying to catch one balloon!
And after snow cones and running through the sprinklers, we went to feed the ducks and geese. I was really more worried that this one would want to go swimming and I'd have to jump in and get her in that murky dirty water, so I didn't get many pictures. And luckily for both of us, I didn't have to jump in!
Here's a side shot of several friends throwing bread to the ducks.
And then some random pictures of friends.
Sorry for the duplication of some pictures.
Mary and Lexi
Jack and some of his friends dressing up like girls (picture cut off their princess shoes)
School buds
Playing in the sand friends
camping friend and firecracker friend and playing while our dad's are making games friend
Fort friends
Bee game friends
And of course friends that are also blood relatives.
And of course some distant blood friends aka cousins.
So there you have it. I'm so glad that the kids have great friends and many in abundance. Some days the house can get pretty crazy and I have to remind myself I'd rather have them here then not know where or what they are doing. Disclaimer: We all have lots of friends and I didn't get a picture of every friend just some who happened to be available the day I took out the camera and snapped some pictures. Note to self: take more pictures of kids with friends!

awesome post! friends are so important and your neighborhood looks like a great place to be...lots of fun for your kids...and you!!
Your neighborhood sounds so great. I guess I will have to move there if we ever go back to Utah because our neighborhood in Draper wasn't friendly at all. And hooray for kids to help break the ice and make friends for their mamas.
I love these pictures! What a fun opportunity to have so many friends around. Reminds me of when all my guys were young and we had a neighborhood pack that just moved from house to house. I won't say they never got into trouble, but almost all the time they just had fun together!
So glad you're in the neighborhood! I love that my girls have so many fun friends to play with (and I do too). Thanks for sharing the pictures- I love the one of the kids all trying to catch one balloon- so cute!
