Feeling the LOVE

Saw this in Family FUN and decided to make homemade Valentine's this year. Jack's school class were especially easy because his teacher had a picture of each kid so all he had to do was tape the picture to the card and he was done.

Happy Valentine's Day to all!

Valentines Day is not my favorite holiday even though now I have several to offer my love too. I remember back in Jr High when you could buy flowers and they'd anonymously deliver them on Vday. Yep, never got one (not even the black ones they did at Halloween time). I should have sent one to myself so I could feel the love. I don't really care for chocolate (except one year I got a chocolate heart pink cake that was the best gift ever:), flowers are ridiculously priced this week (I use to work at the Flower Patch and saw the mark up), and do we really need to buy something just to tell someone you love them. I saw an awesome commercial for Hallmark today...pretty much just said tell that person you love them!

So here's my shout out to all of my faithful readers, commenter's, friends, bloggers.

I LOVE YOU!

On  a separate note. We enjoyed Sunday dinner with Mike's family at our house this week. After yummy lasagna dinner and chocolate covered strawberry's for dessert we played BINGO. Julie made this adorable picture BINGO with pictures of all the family. It's especially fun to have pictures of the cousins who live in MD and the kids don't know as well.

And then a couple of my Valentine's.

Flap Jack. Such a charmer this boy is!
Lexi had a rough weekend. We went to the Insta-Care Sunday morning instead of church. Poor thing was moaning and crying in her sleep. She has an ear infection and a sinus infection. I tell you we just can't get better this mild winter. She took a 3 hr nap on Sunday and was up til after 11:30pm. Today she's doing much better! As for no shirt...I didn't want lasagna on her white shirt. BUT then remembered she doesn't like anything with red sauce on it so she wouldn't touch it. Grandpa somehow got her to eat her one bite so she could enjoy her chocolate covered strawberry. Which she did...she had 3!
Love long hair...but we need a change? Chop or trim? It really is getting long.

And to my sweetheart this Valentines Day. Thanks for uploading LOVE songs on my iPod. I Love you! Thanks for reminding me you love me too. Te amo siempre mi amor.

So cute! And as for the hair... I'm all for long hair, I vote just trim... but as long as you don't give her a tight afro type perm, and make her look like little orphan Annie, I think you'll be fine. ;)

Happy Valentine's Day to your cute family!! The kids' Valentines are cute, I love that idea, perfect for grandparents. Poor Lexi, I'm so glad she is feeling better now. No fun to be sick. Somehow we have avoided it at our house, knock on wood. And choc covered strawberries are the bomb!!!

Happy Valentine's Day to you and your crew. Love the cards with the giant lollipop sticks. The family bingo is also a super cute idea.

We just had so much fun with you all. Thanks for hosting it. I think the pictures on the cards were absolutely delightful. Having them hold the big tube was a perfect prop for the suckers, too. I was trying to figure out how to take a picture of them, but look, now I don't have to. I'll just swipe them from your site.

Happy Valentines Day!

Cute Valentines- I've seen them done like that before and have thought about doing them, but I've been a big time slacker. So fun! Hope you had a happy Valentines. Wish I hadn't been so lazy this year and would've sent fun treats to all our favorites in the hood! :) Maybe I'll be more on top of it next year.
