Tracy Aviary

We headed to Tracy Aviary. Tuesday's admission is $1 with POAP.
We packed a lunch and spent the day at the park.

Some of the kids posing on the statue. 5 families with lots of kids made for a big crowd!
The babies holding down the fort. Madeline, Owen, Lillian

I didn't take many pictures of the birds. But I did take a picture of the flamingos, can you spot the grey baby flamingo? Flamingo's get pink when they eat algae. He has much to eat apparently!
He he, a goofy picture with my friends in the birds. Kami and Jen and Layla
Cammy, Kami and I too! I didn't get the silly face memo.
After our pic nic lunch which the kids didn't eat but were so hungry we went to Liberty Park adjacent to Tracy Aviary. They have a splash pad that the kids played in. It looks like rivers and all the rivers end up at the Great Salt Lake a bigger splash pad. The kids played here forever!
Lilly loved walking in the rivers.
Maddy and Ally did a scavenger hunt and learned about the rivers and streams in Utah that all lead to the Great Salt Lake.
Jack and Ally--best buds. Everyone laughed that they are always holding hands. Not sure why, but they are cute as can be.
Owen and Lilly. They weren't' holding hands but toddling after one another too. Or at least their moms were making them so we didn't have to chase them to far.
They loved it! Oops, we didn't ever get them in their swim suits. Oh well, it was hot, they didn't mind the big soggy diapers at the end:)
And Lexi and Abby and Layla her BF's of the summer.
We left Tracy Aviary and headed to 7-11 our after Aviary tradition, last year we hit "Sev" on the way home so we did it again. It was tasty and refreshing! As usual we had a blast with our hood friends at the park. Sigh, summer is on the count down. 4 weeks:( til school starts. Gotta have as much fun as possible before school then.

You guys had a lot of kids to keep an eye on. What a blessing to have neighbors to play with. We did not love the Aviary when we went, but that splash pad is awesome. My kids also played forever. It should always be summer.

Great day activity! Really looks fun! Now that splash pad is the way they all should be - not just a flat piece of concrete with squirting fountains. The kids looked like they were having a great time.
