BUT she was so excited to dig into this divine lunch. This is one of her good friends Jacamo, he is switching to charter next year and Lexi is going to miss him so much!
Lunch was delicious she said. Mini corn dogs, not a fan of the fries, ate some apple, gave mom the cookie and loved the chocolate milk.
The next day we went to the Hogle Zoo on a field trip. It was in our rainy month so we dressed warm just in case. Hogle Zoo also has dinosaurs out it was fun to watch them in addition to the animals. I bought a zoo pass because my admission wasn't covered for the field trip so I figured I should add my admission to a pass and then we could go several times throughout the year and enjoy the zoo.
This was our group. I am proud to say I didn't loose any of the children other than my own for a minute. She is a wanderer but at least always knew where I was.
Landen, Payten, Brighton, Lexi, Brooklyn, Greg
We stopped by the tigers and lions just as the rain started. Just ten minutes earlier then sun was out shining. We had a little of all kinds of weather at the zoo. BUT a kindergarten field trip to the zoo wouldn't be complete without rain. Not sure how but it always seems to rain on this field trip!
Brooklyn and Lexi on one of the dinosaurs.
We really loved watching the baby elephant. He was in the water...completely covered and would come up for a breath. He was swinging on the tire swing and was very entertaining. We also loved the baby orangutan. He is so little but walks like an old man and has the cutest face. We went back for a second peek at him but he was snuggled up next to his momma taking a nap. We also got to see the gorilla who they euthanized the day after we were at the zoo. He was old and they said sick. It broke Lexi's heart to hear he wasn't at the zoo anymore.
While it was raining we went into the green house..it stinks but at least it was dry. We also enjoyed the bird show and the kids had a great time!
