October Pictures

Odds and Ends of October.
Track Break
Our longest of the year, we have a 4, 3, 2 week break. I guess it's good to get the long one over. It makes me laugh, our first track break break was actually longer then our summer vacation was.  Kids have been troopers. We've played hard at Cornbellys, Nickle Cade, Clark Planetarium, lunch at McDonalds, Thanksgiving Point, friends, parks, worked (kids even are earned money), played lego's, sit and stitched, General Conference, apple picking, flu shots, more work worked in the yard and still have a week to go. Wish my projects were done! One day at a time, right!
Celebrated Grandma Julie's birthday on Octber 6th with dinner at Harvest House and had to have a grandkid picture. Although we are missing 7! So grateful for Julie in our life. She gets us together and is always a phone call away when we need anything. She fills a special place in my heart and I am grateful for her. Maddy made her a embroidery and framed it.
We went to Gardner Village and saw the witches for FHE, we walk around the village aka shops and check out witches that are through out the shops. We had a scavenger hunt checklist and when we were done we went to the bakery and got a cookie. It was the perfect evening and we all had a blast!

We went to the Hansen Planetarium okay it's now called Clarke Planetarium but I still call it the Hansen. The whole place was under construction so we'll have to go back. Me and these 3 opted for Acrobatic Astronaut movie the others went to the National Parks movie. We watched the movie in the dome, she showed us star constellations, the full moon, stars and then the movie. We went for icecream after at the Gateway Mall, it was empty like a ghost town.

Cornbelly's was fun this year, we went on Fridays while we were off track. Mike took the kids closing day, Oct 29 while I was doing Nickee's wedding shower. They did pumpkin smashing and finished up the tokens. It was pretty crowded they said everyone else had the same idea! It's a lot of fun but I usually hate going, next year maybe we will just go one time and then I won't hate it so much! Always fun when we get there, just getting there is tough!

Lexi is swimming with Herriman Aquatics and USA swimming, this was the first week she was swimming, it has been fun to watch her improve. Next month she'll get to swim in a swim meet. She will be the slowest as most kids do lots of swimming prior to swimming with USA swimming.

Another picture from the Jr. NBA night, this Jazz player said he has small hands but compared to Jack they are still pretty big hands!
We meet Dad at Scheels when we were off track and had a ferris wheel ride and they shot the guns and shopped. Glad Mike was willing to Ferris with the kids, it makes me sick!

And the last bit of Grandma and Grandpa Perri is now up at Grandpa Buddy's house. Brody and Chad moved the playhouse up to my Dad's house. It'll be fun for my kids and Grandkids to play in sometime I played in as a kid! Grandpa Ardo built this playhouse when his kids were small. It is a gem and so glad we were able to keep it in the family.
And just like that October is here. The weather all week should be in the 60's, leaves are falling off the trees. Mike and I spent the afternoon cleaning out the garage getting ready for winter, the patio furniture was moved in the garage, tramp down, pumpkins picked, yards been clipped and ready for winter. Still have the tomatoes growing outside, sometime this week or next I'll have to pick them and dig them out. Hard to believe winter is coming with the beautiful fall weather we've been having.
