BIG

Lots of BIG things happening at our house. Lexi loves her BIG girl bed. We switched her from the toddler bed to a BIG girl bed over Labor Day. It has also become the newest BIGGEST thing to jump on. Oh well, isn't that what beds are made for. I'm still searching for a quilt. Her room is purple and yellow and has vinyl butterflies and flowers on the wall and it just went on clearance at Target. I'm hoping it will be just as cute as the toddler set we have.

 BIG dresser. No more changing table. Mike also refinished this dresser. I forgot to get a before picture. Just imagine pine wood with brass knobs and handles. This is Aunt Faye's dresser, it is old and such a nice and sturdy dresser unlike the cheap ones you find now a days. When we inherited it just after we were married several handles were missing or broken. We went to Home Depot and bought new ones. I guess brass was in style because that's what we came home with. The top 6 drawers were an odd size and nothing fit so we stuck a knob in each hole. And then we had brass knobs on the bottom six drawers. The dresser has been patiently waiting in our garage since we moved here waiting to get refinished. Isn't spray paint amazing! Mike does amazing work too. Lexi loves her new dresser and loves to jump on her bed while looking in the mirror just to admire herself.

No more diapers! Lexi loves being a BIG girl and going potty. She is finally at the point where she goes without mom reminding her to go. Phew, I love when that happens. It's been a long 2-3 weeks but I think we are finally potty trained. It's been kindof tricky because she still has diarrhea. And when it needs to come out it NEEDS to come out. But she finally figured it out. She's so girly, she's been begging for earlings. So her reward is earings. Do you think I should pierce her ears or get clip on's? Lexi also loves her new shirt.

She's been begging to be a BIG sister since she could talk. She knew there was someone waiting to join our family. Mike knew it too. It just took me a LOT longer to accept it. We are all so excited! We find out next week what we are having. YIPPEE for lots of BIG news around our house! The BIG day is April 6!
