Lexi Mae

Here are just a couple of my favorite pictures from Lexi's photo shoot last week.
I'm not a huge "prop" fan but she has the cutest smile in this one and if you look closely you can see her dimple.

Lexi loves purple and is all about her new purple shoes and clothes!

Lexi had her 3 year check up this week.
I'm not sure the nurse got these right, but this is what she got.
Weight: 32# 76%
Height: 36" 24%
BMI: 18.5 96%
The doctor was concerned with her Body Mass Index percentage and asked me what she was eating, how much and how often. She saw Lexi in the teeny tiny room and all the energy she had, not sure why she was worried but she was. When the Dr asked what she eats or snacks on I mentioned string cheese and go-gurts and of course crackers but then we also eat lots of fruits. She told me to limit the amount of dairy I give her and give her fat free and also limit her bread intake. Really, gogurts are so convenient!  I'm not really worried about her BMI, she is healthy and active. Dr Malberg told make sure I spend some one on one time with Lexi when the baby arrives. It kindof breaks my heart that she won't be the baby anymore. Lexi has been my life and what I do and have done every day for the last 3 years. I know I will still get to do lots of things for her but she is also growing up. She starts preschool in the fall, is begging to take dance with her friend Abby and wants to go play after school when the kids all go to their friends houses. Luckily, so far anyway, she's been ok to stay home with me and play with mom. Soon I'm sure she'll be one of many others outside playing while mom is tending to a new baby. 6 more days!  And a busy weekend.

Cute pictures!

I feel your sentiments about Lexi.. as I feel the same stuff for Mary. I know I will still have her for 1/2 day -- with Kindergarten next year.. but I have enjoyed having a little shadow follow me all day. -- Well-- except for the bathroom. :)

I love how much she loves Abby.
I hope they will always be good friends..

Okay, you so don't need to worry about her BMI. How annoying that they even mentioned it.

She is very cute and so grown up all of a sudden. I have always seen more Jack in her but that second shot has some traces of Maddy too.

For real!?! I think the nurse got something wrong for sure! That kid is not overweight and the last thing I would do is put her on any kind of restricted diet. Love the photos. She looks so grown up, though. Definitely growing out of the baby stage, which this Grandma has mixed feelings about. We had so much fun with all the kids last night.
