But it was a lot of fun to watch them and the school and teachers perform.
Prior to the concert, the school participated in an Art Night. Each class was given a board to decorate with art work and was showcased throughout the school. We never found Jack's class but i'm guessing they forgot to do it because we were off track. Lexi and Maddy found their art to show off.
Maddy and her friend Alli participated in the art night with 2 piano duets. They practiced every day for a month on these two songs. I am so proud of their efforts and am grateful for a wonderful teacher who teaches them to love playing the piano.
They even dressed like twiners for the performance.
Here's a little bit of Beethoven's Boogie.
Jack was in the choir and everyone in the choir that didn't have a speaking part wore a green shirt.
Maddy tried out for the part Mother Bear. It was an afterschool try out and she had to sing a solo and say the lines. She wasn't scared at all! But maybe a little nervous. Jack even said he was nervous because there were a lot of people they were performing for. This is Maddy's solo. She and Papa Bear and Baby Bear and Goldilocks sang a song about teaching baby bear to forgive Goldilocks for eating his porridge.
Here's Maddy's performance. The flip camera ran out just as it was time to record her singing so I quickly uploaded it with my phone. Sound is so light. Turn up your speakers!!
Maddy and best friend Alli after the show. Alli also had a solo song and was a mirror.
We had to twist Jack's arm to get in the picture next to his BF sister and his own sister. No way was he going to stand in between them but decided the side would suffice.
And then a picture with Miss Comte one of our fav teachers.
After the performance, we enjoyed Menchie's. Lexi waaaayyy overfilled her cup and we paid a small fortune for hers but otherwise it was a yummy treat! Thanks Grandma & Grandpa and Great Grandma along with Stephanie and the girls for coming.
