and that's a wrap!!

Mike's had this lovely shirt since we've been married. He loves to dress in red at Christmas time (as do I) but I was starting to get a little overtired of his red jolly sweater and suggesting it was time to take it to the DI (several years I've been suggesting this). He decided to make it his ugly sweater this year and added fur to the chest area and call it "Have a very hairy Christmas" and on the back, "and a happy new beard" Never got a photo of the back. I found this ugly sweater at JCP. Not too ugly actually. We attended our annual Ugly Sweater party and laughed and laughed. We came home with a book on how to craft with cat hair.
Sunday for church we snapped some pictures in our holiday clothes. No matching or new outfits this year. The little girls have so many dresses it seems like a waste of money. Maddy did get a new dress, she is growing like a weed and doesn't have many dresses.
Still not sure why I wore this to church, it's Camille's. She wore it to the Ugly Sweater party. Kevin wore his sparkly sequin vest to church and I even gave the opening prayer in my festive attire. I was re-thinking my decision of wearing this dress to church when I realized it was a missionary farewell but I was already dressed and waiting for the opening song. So
i did it. I truly was feeling the Christmas spirit!
I did get a delicious plate of Emily's gingersnap cookies along with 2 other delicious (about 3 dozen total) so it was worth my fashion statement plus I didn't have to think of what to wear to church and it was comfy. I think Jumpers should come back! And I was told at least 15 times how cute i looked!

6 people smiling and looking at the camera! We used the tripod and it worked!!

Some photos for Brody and Chad telling them we were busy making our Christmas treats!

The kids had school 2 days the week of Christmas. Monday morning they had a Christmas concert. Mike went into work a little late to see his little elves sing! 4th grade tradition to play the recorders! Lexi sang All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth and Maddy Hip Hop Reindeer. I'll see if I can add their songs and insert.
Tuesday was class party day. Lexi decorated milk carton houses, Maddy had chocolate dipped pretzels and hot chocolate and I helped with Jack's class party. Normally Mrs. M doesn't do a party but since we were off track in October at Halloween she let the kids have a party. We did lots of games. The first was blowing up balloons and putting them into panty hose to make reindeer horns. They even had to sing jingle bells before they won!
Another group was toothpicks and gum drops making anything. I'm writing these down so I can remember next year!
Christmas Bingo ( I sucked up the papers in the laminator--the first time). Oops sorry!
Snowman and reindeer donut with chocolate milk to drink
paper plate snowman. With a paper plate on their heads, they were given the instructions of how to draw a snowman

We even had Jr Jazz night on Dec 21. Lexi and Lilly didn't care to go. So we got a babysitter and left them home. Lincoln joined us. We decided to ride the trax, more snow and traffic and not driving seemed like a plan to us! The Jazz won and we had a great time.

Wednesday after work, we headed to the North Pole at Seven Peaks. We and thousands of others! It was the last night it was open and even arriving at 5 didn't help. We first saw Santa. He LOVED his job! Then I stood in line for the water ride while Mike did a craft with the kids.

The kid all told Santa what they wanted for Christmas.
Lilly-hair cut playdoh
Lexi- box of oranges
Jack- legos
Maddy -legos

Santa said they were on the nice list!
After waiting for over an hour we finally got on the ride! The lazy river was full of water and we rode these round boats around and saw lights and scenery. It was really fun. Jack wasn't happy because he wanted to drive. We really should have got 3 instead of 2 boats we were crowded and it was so cold! We did the sled's twice and then headed out to Sizzler for dinner. And then hit Krispie Kreme on the way home for donuts for the kids A's.
Christmas Eve Mike had to work but only til 12. Brent and Julie had Christmas Eve breakfast for us at Tonya and Brian's house. Yummy french toast, pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage and juice. Here's our local cousins. Missing our MD Loveridge cousins!

Grandma is always full of gifts. She gave the kids presents!
We came home and had to finish our Christmas cookies. We still had Gingerbread dough in the fridge. This year I asked Maddy, Jack and Lexi what their favorite cookie was and we made it. Maddy choose homemade Oreo's rolled in peppermint on the edges. Jack gingerbread men, and Lexi sugar. Good thing Lilly loves all 3, not sure we could have squooze in another cookie!
And here's my present from Emily! YUM!
Christmas Eve Price's party is tradition. Santa always follows dinner. Santa this year was a teen but rocked the job!

Before Santa came Grandma told the kids a story.

And then one by one the kids were called up to tell Santa one last time what they wanted for Christmas.

Bitter sweet but the great grands (because theirs so many of them) can only sit on Santa's lap til they're 12. So this was Maddy's last year. Sniff Sniff! She's growing up!
Grandma's gifts were even delivered by Santa. All the cousins sat on his lap.
And my Dad too (and his siblings).
After the party, we headed home to open a gift before Christmas. Jammies!! Jack's were a little tight but a little stretching out and they fit just right! We were excited to have G&G Buddy spend the night with us.

I woke up about 7:45am Christmas morning and went downstairs to see if Santa had come during the night. Yep, he had!! Maddy was just waking up and so was Jack, we woke up the little girls who then woke up G&G. Lilly was so excited to have a giant teddy bear by her stocking!

And Lexi was so excited also for her box of oranges!

Jack got his Minecraft Lego's
 Maddy a new game
 Lilly her mixer
These two are impossible to take photos of. BUT a good one of each to prove I did get a photo with them looking at the camera

Mike was super excited for his selfie stick!
Mom surprised Lexi with an American Girl Doll! She opened up the earring first and was made and said Maddy you can have these my doll doesn't have her ears pierced and then she opened up "Olivia" and wanted her earrings back! Girls also all got a AG dog's.
jack is so excited to have Heely's!
We love having  Grandma join us
Lilly was so excited to have hair cut playdoh!
Mike and I both got each other speakers to play music from.
Christmas we woke up to 10" of new snow! and it wasn't stopping. Definitely a white Christmas! We were supposed to be to Grandma Price's at 11 am. When we were driving to Grandma's I said maybe we should turn around the roads hadn't been cleared and it was scary! It took longer to clear off the driveway especially because it was coming down just as fast as we were clearing it. A nice neighbor cleared off the other 1/2 for us. While we enjoyed yummy eggs golden rod. Jack ate as much as I did (and Mike). He said "Mom how come we only have this on Christmas day at Grandmas" I said I was afraid of making white sauce but promised to make them again before Christmas it is so yummy!
Grandma deciding if she wanted another piece

The roads were cleared and we made it home. The kids were all playing with their gifts. Lego's and games and play doh at the table.

Mike was busy putting a puzzle together. We enjoyed a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Loveridge with gifts. And then we all turned around and headed back down to Lehi for Christmas dinner.

The sunset was so pretty just as we arrived. You can see Lehi's roads hadn't been cleared either. The show just kept coming and coming! I'm thankful for all the plows that worked on Christmas day to make us safe!

We enjoyed yummy dinner and treats and ate and ate and ate. We exchanged gifts and then played games and watched a movie. This was one of the most popular gifts for 2015. We played it on Christmas Day. Watch the video's and laugh.

Up next!
Happy Birthday to me! Not much exciting happening on numero 38 birthday. Birthday's are depressing to me. I really don't like them at all. I loved the texts, and face book messages and the phone calls and gifts I received from neighbors. I enjoyed lunch with a friend. Yummy Mexican. I promised these 4 I would take them sledding (all the December snow and we hadn't gone yet). So away we went. Clairesse said she had a gift for me and asked if we were home, I told her to come sledding and so she did and brought me the sweetest note with 38 things she loves about me along with 38 Hershey kisses. Sister Cole brought me yummy caramels and Sister Frandson called and wished me a happy birthday. My friends gave me a gift card to Maurice's. And I'm trying to decide what I want to do with Project 365 and going to buy a kit for Becky Higgins scrapbook. I am officially getting further and further behind on scrap booking and I miss it so much! Brent and Julie gave me a card and cash and my parents took us to dinner and gave me and Mike the Go Pro but I really gave it to Mike for Christmas. Haha, anyhow fun time sledding. Although it was freezing! I opted to stay in the car and read my fb happy birthday posts!
Reed and Maddy
Lilly joined me pretty soon also.
Clairesse and little Maddy
more friends were also at the hill. Maddy, Tenny and Mary
Jack and Daniel
We went to Brick Oven for dinner. I'm always enticed to go to restaurants I have a free meal for someone. This time it was for the kids. The service was so slow! They were really crowded but we still had a great time and eventually got our food. After dinner, Brent and Julie and Grandma and Steve and Tifani went home and we came back to the house for key lime pie!

The kids really enjoyed it and played Pie Face without the game!

Birthday is over! Phew! And I have 4 precious babies to call my own. I am always so thankful when another year comes along that means I am still healthy and able to raise these precious spirits I've been blessed with. Jack still wants a brother but I know (Mike too) that our family is complete. Looking at the pictures we took this December, I am in awe of how old the kids are looking and getting. 2016 will bring lots of new things for us and I'm excited to watch and participate in many things! I'm grateful for a husband who loves me and takes care of all of our needs. He works so hard and I don't tell him enough how thankful I am for him and how much I love him!

birthday pie--face time

I did get to go celebrate and have ice cream at Culver's with Rachel, Camille, Jessica and Clarisse Wednesday night. It was yummy and a great time. Wasn't sure I was going to make it with Lilly but left anyway!

Instagram had an app to go through your uploads for 2015 and tell you your most popular likes on 2015 called #bestnineof2015. This was mine. I didn't think it really hit the hole year, rather from August to October. So I made my own collage. This was there's
and this was mine.

I really wanted to do a 12 photo grid but there wasn't that layout. Oh well.

Lilly started getting a fever Tuesday night (yay no one got sick on my birthday!), Wednesday me and the kids went to work. Lilly crashed almost as soon as we got in the car, she just didn't feel good.

Her throat was getting so red. On Thursday New Years Eve I wanted to make sure she didn't have strep so we took her to the doctor. No strep. He thought it was a viral herpes. Her fever was gone by now. Mike worked 1/2 a day and we decided to stay home and rest and not spread more Christmas spirit aka germs. Bill has a friend who sells fireworks and Mike bought some. Lilly and I watched from inside the house, it was cold and they were loud. The aerials were awesome! I kind of like fireworks in December, short and sweet because it's too cold to stay outside! The kids were in bed by 9:00 and asleep by 9:30. Little did I know, Maddy would be getting sick soon herself and the rest was helpful. AND BTW, Maddy has been doing great sleeping the last 10 days. She finally figured it out. We also have been giving her praise and it is working! Not sure if we will go back to the Psychiatrist again, I would but not sure I want to spend $115!

New Years Day we work up happy and well rested! We did a little cleaning and then headed to Lehi to watch The Little Dinosaur with The Loveridge family. It was super cute, I didn't think I'd cry but the tears came the last scene. It was just long enough to keep us entertained. After the movie, Brent and Julie treated us to dinner at Chuck a Rama! It was a fun night! We came home and played games and watched a movie.

Saturday the kids had a primary activity. Lilly is old enough to go to these now. She's officially a Sunbeam! Maddy stayed home because she was sick. The kids got to meet their new teachers and have lunch. We did some cleaning, some honey do's and Saturday night, Lilly broke out in blisters. Guess we did get Hand foot and mouth after all. Dang!

Our church schedule changed to 9am, Sunday, Maddy and Lilly didn't feel good. I figured the other two would be soon to get it as well, so kept all the kids home from church. I got a new calling. Relief Society Activity Enrichment co -chair. Laurie Walker and I are party princess partner in crimes! I served as the Compassionate Service leader for 1.5 years, it'll be a fun change. Sunday we played more games and got ready for school the following day. Although, only Lexi made it. Jack know had the fever and Maddy wasn't quite 24 hour fever free. Chad and Anna came by to see us and collect cookies and presents. Not sure why the kids think jumping and rough housing with my brothers is the thing to do. I guess both enjoy it!

Still need to make new years resolutions and work on them. I'm proud to say in 2015, I made my goal of going to the temple each month. I didn't have a goal to run a 1/2 marathon but am proud of that accomplishment. I secretly had a goal to get a new couch in 2015 but Mike said we needed a new washer machine and of course our mattress was 16 years old. We were able to get a new to us couch from my parents, with Brody's generous Christmas present for many years we were able to get  a new washer (ours finally bit the dust after 16 years) and then with Mike's new job we were able to get a new king sized bed which helped me start redecorating 3 of the 4 bedrooms in the house. Need to still get on Jack's and find bedding for the guest bedroom.

It is always a busy busy month and I think we managed to squeeze in everything we always do and some more! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 2016 is going to be great.
