I was very excited to go and had huge (not sure why when I have 3 small kids) expectations and wanted to enjoy the moment and preserve the memories and feel the spirit.
It rained a little while we were there but wasn't too cold. ALthough Jack and Maddy were cold by the end of the night from sticking their hands into the reflecting pool.
Our first stop was the Grand America. We heard that they had a Gingerbread exhibit so that was first on our list. Aren't these cookies amazing!! This is the Grand made out of gingerbread and candy.
After leaving the exhibit we got a free chocolate chip cookie just for coming in which tied us over until the train came. The kids all just loved riding the trax. Here is Jordyn, Maddy, and Jack waiting for the train to arrive (to take us 3 blocks to see the lights).
Jen & Jared
The train arrived and we rode a couple blocks to our destination. Lexi was super excited to be out of the stroller, Dad wasn't as excited however.
Everyone enjoying the lights as we drove by.
Not sure how I managed to capture this photo of her standing still for a second but I did.
Then we headed outside to the reflecting pool. This is Maddy, Jack and Mike looking at the water and the temple.
And we were tired of chasing Lexi so she got strapped into the stroller again. This time she couldn't get out.
Jared, Jordyn, Jen and Jacob

And here is our family in front of the beautiful orange and red lights. Guess this is what I really wanted in visiting Temple Square and I got it! Even though I had to hold Jack up and Lexi has a binky in her mouth this is us, we made it to Temple Square!

Beautiful isn't it!
Thanks Jared and Jen for coming from Vernal and seeing us while you were in town. We haven't seen each other since the girls were about 3 months old, so 6 years!! Jordyn and Maddy were due one day apart, Maddy came 10 days early and Jordyn came 10 days late. Glad I was on the early list that time!!

I hope we can make it to temple square this year- we haven't been in awhile! The lights are so pretty.
