Blessing Day

Lilly made her debut at church May 6 for her blessing day. The weather was warmish...not freezing but too chilly to eat lunch outside, although the kids didn't seem to mind. The company was grand and Lilly had a great night with only waking up once for feeding and then again after 7, which kindof made us race around Sunday morning getting ready for 9 am church. BUT sleep is wonderful, no one is complaining. We had lots of friends and family support us for Lilly's blessing. We are surrounded by love. Mike gave Lilly a beautiful blessing. And yay she didn't make a peep through it. He blessed her to have a desire to be baptised, to be married in the temple. He told her she had a family who loved her. He blessed her senses, that they would help her grow. I love a baby all dressed in white. Lilly's dress was beautiful. Not really what I orginally had in mind, but when I saw this one I fell in love. Thanks Tif for the dress and Ali for the headband. And Maddy for the slip. Funny story. I put the slip on Lilly; Maddy's dress was a lot longer than Lilly's, the slip hung down about 6 inches, but there was no time to fix it so I cut it. Problem solved!

Lilly was blessed by her father, Mike. Grandfathers: Brent and Steve, Great Grandfathers: Leo and Leon, Uncles: Jake and Brian and family Friend: Jared Libberton Thank you friends who came and said hi.

After church, we headed home for lunch. A big thank you to Julie for spear heading the luncheon and making it so stress free for me. I hope it wasn't too stressful for her. Thank you to everyone else for helping make the luncheon a success as well. We are so grateful for our famil. Lilly had in attendance 5 of her 6 Great Grandparents. And her grandparents, aunts and uncles and cousins and friends.
