ShAkE iT Up!

We raced home from the Tracy Aviary...threw on most of Maddy's dance costume (I say most because I forgot her tights but didn't know it at the time) applied makeup, made a quick sandwich, snapped a couple pictures and she was off! Thanks Jen for driving the girls.

I stayed home and missed the first half of the revue...Maddy wasn't dancing til the 2nd half. Jen called to tell me I forgot the tights. When I arrived the theatre was dark so I told Maddy to come in the corner and we'd put the tights on unfortunately the whole costume had to come off. And wouldn't you know the lights turned on just as the costume was off. But no one noticed. Sorry I embarrassed you and me Maddy! I found my seat and Mike and Brent and Julie shortly arrived. Mike had his iPad at this time as he just came straight from work. My parents and Emma arrived.

I started videoing and Mike snapped several pics. Mike told me she was in the back so for most of the dance I was watching the wrong girl. Good thing, I figured it out before he did. Or we'd have lots of pictures of another girl! Maddy had the performance down! She didn't need to look to the side to have clues given.

We hurried and left before the next dance started. Meet Maddy in the hallway and treated Maddy to an icecream shake on the way home. We arrived home to find that Lilly had been awake and crying for Kara. Probably should have taken Lilly she would have slept the whole time (I think anyway) but it was so nice not having my wild 3 year old. Sorry Kara. About 9:45 when the kids were finally in bed, Mike realized he left his iPad. He drove over to the auditorium but it was locked up. He sent several emails to the school and to the dance teacher asking if they found an iPad. He changed most of his passwords just in case someone logged in. The next morning, I went to the school and with no luck found no iPad. You know the feeling we had in our stomachs. About 5pm I got an email from the dance studio saying she thought Shannon had found an iPad and to email her. Really! Sure enough about 9:00pm  she called to say she had it. Mike went and picked it up and no one even turned it on. One of the cleaners turned it in. Wow, aren't we glad for honest people! Not sure who is more excited to have it back, the kids or Mike!
