The first day we all arrived randomly but enjoyed the KOA's activities. Here are several of the kiddos on the tractor ride. I forgot the total number of people that came but I believe we were estimating to have 60+ with us. So much fun for all ages!
We played at the park.
Here's Lilly and her betrothed Owen--come on guys at least smile for the pictures!
And of course the jumping pillow. The kids snuck on--happy hour (aka free hour) wasn't when they were all on it. But no one seemed to mind.
They even had a hula hoop contest on the jumping pillow. Look at that sweet face! Just love this boy.
Maddy was one of the top 3 hula-ers.
and of course the swimming pool
Friday morning we headed to the beach. This year we were able to drive down onto the beach and park our cars there. Someone built a beautiful sandcastle, this one destroyed it. Oh well she had fun doing it. She loved the sand, she ate it and was covered from head to toe in it!
Here is the ladies in our group.
Friday was chilly, I never stepped into the water or the boat for that matter and didn't mind sitting on the beach sometimes with a towel around me. Not sure how the kids managed to stay in the water and play all day!
The Vail's brought their boat again. Thanks Cami & Matt. I never got a ride but the kids got a spin on the tube and said it was a blast. Lexi didn't like it so much, she preferred the beach.
These 2 act like they are in love, but at 6 &7 we are holding off til missions and education. They are good buddies.
Reed, Maddy, Macey
The kids all watched movies in the kabins, the parents talked outside til their buns froze--mine froze first-and then we all went to bed. The dad's cooked breakfast Saturday monring, it was cool. It was delicious! And once again we had a lot of people so we served a lot of food!
We all went our separate ways on Saturday, some back to the beach, others to town for raspberry shakes and some to rent bikes at the KOA. We found this cute bear carved into a tree trunk--bear lake is so much fun!
We wanted to stay an extra night like some of the others but our kabin was reserved so we checked out and headed home only to be hit but another rainstorm. We've had lots of rain this late summer--I'm not complaining, its beautiful! What a great weekend and vacation it was--love the hood! We love our neighbors and ward and the get togethers we have.

I am always amazed at how much the families in your neighborhood do together, especially since you have only lived there a few years. This looks like so much fun. What a blessing to be raising your families with a great community of support.
Echo to Julie's comments above. Looks like a fabulous weekend together. Love all your great neighbors.
