95

Grandma recently celebrated her 95th birthday! We always are looking for an excuse to party and wanted to celebrate her! She said this was her very first birthday party ever. One year after school, she said she invited her friends to come over but it was a surprise to her mom. She is the 2nd oldest of a lot of kids!! I  tried at 90 to have a party for her but she refused, so glad we were able to get together for 95.

Her party was put together via text! Thanks Chris and Candace for hosting! And everyone for contributing. We did a pot luck dinner and ate outside, Grams is always chilly so she has a blanket around her. She is holding her newest Great Grandson Finn. She has 3 children, 10 grandchildren and 13.5 great grandchildren. If my math is right--did I forget someone?

Here's everyone chowing on dessert.

Ireland had been eyeing that baby all night and finally got to hold him but only after Jill did for a minute.
We attempted to get the local great grands here for a picture although the 3 youngest didn't like it one bit!!

So eventually us mommas joined in the picture also!

Happy 95 Grams! I love you more than words can say. You are the mother that has always been there for me thru, I have always loved going to your house to be with you, learn from you and for all that you know to rub off on me. I appreciate your gifts whether thru wisdom or teaching me or material things, you escorted me through the temple, your always willing to support anything and everything my kids do and you give of yourself to others. I admire your genes, your health and your determination and your beautiful smile. I keep thinking that God may be trying to take you to the next life because you have had a broken hip and a heart attack in the last 18 months, but I think you're saying I'm not done yet! Happy Happy Birthday!

What a fun party for a very fun woman! I've been so impressed with Grandma Maggy from the first day I met her (can't tell you how nervous I was that day). She is just a great lady and I'm so glad you got to celebrate 95 with her! Love the group photos!

95 is awesome! And it looks like she is still enjoying every minute. I can't help but wonder if Heavenly Father has left her here and healthy so long because he had to call your mom home so early? What a blessing she must be to you.
