Saturday morning I decided to paint Lilly's nails but made a mistake and didn't put the polish away. I was upstairs and heard "mom, Lilly's painting her nails!" She was repainting the nails I had just recently painted.
I moved the nail polish to the counter. Busy afternoon. softball. naps. Mom and dad snuck away and saw Diverget. Popcorn. Yummy. Finally. Date night.
I left Maddy home with napping Lilly. She is a fantastic babysitter but learned a lesson while watching her sister today. Ya gotta watch the kids not play! Maddy has been a huge help with Lilly. She makes scavenger hunts with her, plays in or outside with her, reads her books and Lilly loves it just as much as Maddy does.
Mady was playing the computer (io watching sister) who decided she wanted her toenails painted. I'm not sure the details but believe the polish spilled so Lilly decided to clean it up. Good girl. See the red dish towell. It had polish on it and it was all over the floor. nail polish spread and got pretty big. Lilly feels terrible!
A phone call in the movie from maddy (love having a home phone-never thought i'd say that) to tell me what happened.
No sense crying over something I cant do anything about.
I laughed when I got home and found this!

thanks goodness it was on the laminate. Thank heavens for a husband who cleaned the floor with cotton balls. The floor is a bit tinted and the polish is mostly warn off.

Mom also learned a lesson to put the nail polish away!! Maddy learned to wath her sister. I wrote this yesterday and then did the same thing again today-left the polish out! This girl loves her nails painted! And the table and her hand!

So funny. She is such a little all girl girly girl! I didn't even notice it on the floor, so I'm guessing Mike did a great job cleaning it up. How many bottles of fingernail polish did it take???
I have learned that lesson the hard way a few times...got it out of carpet and laminate but it took the finish off my coffee table. How cute is the picture of Lilly face down on the floor, caught? Hilarious! She really did a thorough job on those toes...and the floor.
Did you clean the laminate with nail polish remover? I'm glad it didn't ruin your floor. If it tinted your floors, I didn't notice it on Saturday. That's quite the spread! We keep thinking it would be nice to get bigger baseboards and better carpet, etc...- but I'm thinking we should probably wait till all of our babies are here and a little more grown-up. I don't think I can have nice things yet. Kids. The joys.
