In February, I asked the Loveridge girls to come with us to Beauty in the Beast in August. We were excited then but more excited as the day approached. Grandma treated us all to dinner prior to the show, my kids have never been to Olive Garden so it was a treat for them. They however, wondered if this was the same restaurant where you get to choose your own food aka Chuck a Rama, they love that place and it's safe to say it's probably the only restuarant they visit frequently. Did you know you can pay to use an iPad during dinner? I was appouled and told my kids No way Jose, we were here afterall to talk not to play games that we can play any time and now even at dinner. K&K weren't too happy with Grandma taking them away but I was glad that the distraction was over and we could enjoy one another's company. We were glad that Great Grandma could come also but missed Tonya who was worried about leaving Ivy her baby at fussy time of night.
And it's always a riot with this group. We didn't have plates so pretty much all were holding our breadsticks up in the air. Oh so, Tonya didn't come that left a free ticket up for grabs so Jack came and enjoyed girl time with us.And a couple pictures without breadsticks in our hands. Heather, Julie, Grandma
Kinz and Steph
Jack and Kamryn
Lexi and Karsyn --who can never ever get enough of one another!
Karsyn and Madison
A quick photo before the play started with Aunt Heather. Jack when we walked by the door said, oh it's not a movie? Lexi and Jack and Kamryn and Karsyn had their first play experience. They did pretty good only needing to use the restroom just before intermission and then needed a treat because afterall they are kids! BUT I was very pleased at how well they observed, laughed, smiled and really enjoyed the play.
The candlestick and the duster. They were both great also. My favorite scenes were "Be our Guest, the Pub scene, and Mrs Potts singing while Belle and the Beast dance. She had the accent down perfect! We found Belle and the Beast--does he have a name in a seperate room, the line wasn't long so we waiting to get one more picture. Jack wwent into the picture just to please his Mom and so the Beast wasn't the only boy. They both did a great job. Loved Gaston, he has been touring playing the same role and did a great job.
And then we headed out the building, I really think besides the clean up crew we were the last ones out of the theater. We headed to the car and off our separate ways. Glad we went, it was so fun. Soon the new theater will be open and we'll have to go check it out.
