Tuesday, I ventured to the school with Camille to see if our kids had earned the Fantastic Falcon. I say to "see" because some teachers let you know if your kid is receiving the award and some don't. Luckily both our kids did! Phew. We were waiting for the program to begin and in walked Mike. My heart dropped...recent layoffs had me worried he'd been let go...but he reassured me his boss had given him the rest of the day off so he could see his kids receive their rewards. Phew! Perfect timing, since I'm not very good at taking pictures with the new camera and managing Lexi is a full time job, thank goodness Lilly was sound asleep in her car seat or I would have been really busy!
Up first were the Kindergartner's, Jack's name was called and up he went to get his certificate from Miss Snow and dog tag from the principal Mr Griffiths. The school is getting a new principal next year, we are gonna miss Mr Griffiths last year year he rode the bus home with the kids and one day the bus had mechanical problems so he personally delivered the kids home in his SUV. Talk about personal delivery!
And then Jack and his class that received the Fantastic Falcon (sad but not everyone got it even in Kindergarten).

Wow on getting the Falcon award as it can be a lot of hard work. I am so excited for summer break too, especially since I don't have to work!
Good job Fantastic Falcons! Sadly, my first grader would fail the Kindergarten requirements because he can not tie shoes. He has never had shoes with ties. I guess I should get on that. Hooray for a successful year and an even bigger HOORAY for summer!!! We don't get out until the 11th and I am SO ready!!!
Love the first day/last day pictures and the changes through the year are so noticeable! Hooray for both Jack and Maddy for succeeding at the Fantastic Falcon challenges! You are both MY Fantastic Falcons!
