They both can stand
This girl is a climber! She loves to climb up and down things. She mastered the stairs and unfortunately has toppled a couple times. Luckily not all the way down the stairs. Apparently I only took pictures of Lilly's messy face this month. I have lots of eating pictures!
Some of her favorite food to eat:
cooked baby carrots
beets!
banana
ice cream
yogurt
oatmeal
spaghetti
Something chocolatey. PS Lexi is wearing the big sister shirt this today and was so proud!! They were Maddy & Lexi's shirts. I love pulling out clothes that give me great memories.
Sitting on the box of wipes as her stool
Dancing with Maddy. This girl loves music. When she hears it she bops to the beat and wiggles in her seat.
She also was sticking out her tongue.
She loves to talk on the phone. She puts almost anything up to her hear and says oyy. One of her fav sounds.
More tongue pictures with sisters
Last week Lilly had a fever for 2.5 days. She wasn't sleeping and only wanted to be held. Friday night I finally took her to the insta-care and guess who had a double ear infection.I didn't even know you could get an ear infection with out being sick. She didn't have a cold. Guess who broke out in hives on Sunday and is allergic to penicillin. We had to go back to the dr and start a new antibiotic. The hives stayed for several days. A week later she seems better. If only the other tooth would pop thru I'm sure it would make her feel better.

My birthday
Me & My cake.I put Lilly down for a morning nap but today she decided it was her birthday and she didn't want to go to sleep. After an hour, I finally gave in and headed to Sam's to buy stuff for the lunch. We ate lunch at 1 and started cake around 2 and she was tired! We took a picture,
sang her a song and blew out the candle and she was ready to go to sleep!
Here's the cake our little Chicky and then nest cupcakes. (Cupcakes with toasted coconut and robin eggs on top)
Thank you pinterest for the darling ideas!
It was very fitting seeing that her first birthday was Easter weekend.
I wanted a simple destroy cake that didn't take much effort.
This was it! BUT she was too tired to do anything.
BUT before she could take a nap the kids wanted her to open presents.
Unfortunately, her nap was only an hour nap. The afternoon was beautiful and the guests had left so Mike pumped up the stroller and we went for a walk. I was hoping she'd fall asleep but she didn't instead she went down the driveway backwards and her and the stroller did a flip. I thought I locked it when I ran inside to grab a blanket for her. Luckily Mike was out shoveling manure and came to her rescue. She sat in the stroller while I helped Mike and Emily finish the compost. BUT to get her to sit longer I gave her a tootsie roll sucker. SHE WAS A STICKY MESS and she'd been crawling all over the cement.
I came inside with her, feed her some dinner and then gave her a cupcake. I couldn't get myself to let her smash the chicky when everyone else was outside riding on the neighbors Polaris X. So I just gave her a cupcake.
It wasn't doing it for her. She was dropping it on the side of the high chair like she does when she doesn't want to eat anymore! So frustrating but hey everyone does it! So I gave her some cookies and cream ice cream! She loved that but started to cry when her fingers were cold. I spoon fed her instead and this is about as messy as she got!

Felt so bad everything got too delayed for her to enjoy her cake the right way. She was a trooper in spite of being so tired. Just such a busy busy day with so many things going on! Happy Birthday, Lilly! What a darling one-year old!
NO Way she is ONE!!!! Holy cats! I love her cake and cupcakes. Really, really cute.
Oh my goodness, she's already ONE!! I can hardly believe it.
I can still remember getting a text while we were at the zoo, and I told Owen his girlfriend had officially arrived! (He was pretty excited about it, of course).
She is darling.
Congrats on making it through the first year. I think every mom deserves a massage or something for surviving it. (Hint, hint Mike) :)
Happy Birthday Lillian.
