Madison

Posts over load! I'm catching up today only to be behind again tomorrow I'm sure of it!.

Mike and I along with Lexi and Lilly arrived at Maddy's 3rd grade Fantastic Falcon assembly. We sat by our ward friends and neighbors and anxiously awaited our children to receive their awards.

First up Maddy and the kid in Red (don't know his name) were 2 of 4 kids from the entire school that received 100% attendance. Way to go Maddy. She loves school and wouldn't dream about missing it. We shall see how next year goes. Thankful for healthy children this year, Lexi also didn't miss any school.
Miss Giffen's class was up next to receive their awards.

Madison (she goes by that by Miss Giffen) is 1 of 16 out of 26 kids in her class to receive her Fantastic Falcon. She had to complete all of the fllowing. In the past you can pick and choose what you accomplish, not in 3rd grade it's all or nothing.
LLearns Multiplication and Division Facts.
EExcellent Cursive. Pass off all cursive requirements.
AAwesome Attitude. Earns at least 7 E's on all report cards.
DDynamic Attendance. No more than 10 absences and tardies.
EExceptional Reports. Successfully complete 2 reports.
RRemarkable Reader. Earn 7 out of 9 reading rewards.
SSuper Speller. Score at least 85% on 2 report cards.

She completed all requirements. Including spelling at 100% and all 10 E's on her report card. She loves multiplication and division in addition to writing in cursive. She really loved 3rd grade. Her teacher was fun and so organized and efficient. Maddy will have several friends from this class in  addition in her class next year and I just heard yesterday that it's official Mrs. Gray is staying next year for 4th grade. So excited, that is the teacher she wanted! She'll be great!

Ok, this comment is for all the rest of the posts I haven't commented on! The zoo looks like it's changed a ton since we were there two years ago. We need to schedule another family day there! Loved the Eagle's nest!

And Jack and Maddy - both of you - I want you to know that I am so proud of you for working so hard and accomplishing so much in school this past year! Way to go!!!!

Maddy amazes me that she can be involved in so many different things and do them all so well. I hear your frustration on the tumbling aspect. I felt like those were really large classes for one teacher so I'm guessing the kids are just left to themselves to do the the learning. But she did great and I'm betting the right instructor will have her starring with the class!

All the posts have been so fun! Now what are you going to do for fun tomorrow? I'm still a ways behind! You can come catch up mine!
