Mother's Day

Celebrated Mother's Day with rain out ball games Friday/Saturday, which allowed us to go to Lehi for Ashyln's 4th birthday party. It was also Grammie's birthday. I couldn't help but think of her all weekend long. In fact, when I was buying flowers from her birthday to take to the cemetery I forgot to buy some for Mother's Day. Miss her so much, thinking of her today and everyday for that matter. Wishing we had more days and months together but am grateful for the 96 years she had. I'm grateful for all you taught me, for your example, never ending love, for always giving, enduring to the end and being my #1 fan. 

Found these pictures and couldn't help but smile. Grams and Me and Grams and Maddy. And look how much Maddy and I as a baby look alike. Big and Fat and round cheeks!

Sunday morning, we went to church. I wore my flowers the kids had given me the week before from primary. They all filled out one of these. For some reason, I only took a picture of Lilly's. It was funny. 

The Primary kids all sang to the Mother's. It was extra special because it was Lilly's first time singing with Primary. And sadly almost Maddy's last time, Father's day will be,she'll be 12 and won't sing when it's the Primary program this fall. Cute songs that always melt your heart. Several youth gave talks about their Mother's. Maddy will be up to speak soon too! 

We then headed to brunch with Tif and Buddy and hopefully my brother's. BUT I guess they couldn't make it. We took a quick detour to the cemetery first to say Happy Mother's Day to my Mom and Grammie. 

Yes, it rained lots on Mother's Day. Here are the kids standing y the bouquet Jill sent to the cemetery on Brooke's grave. It worked perfect because the bouquet we brought went in the vase that is on Grammies and Grandpa's head stone. 

 Love that I got all 4 in the picture with the flowers on both graves.

 We met my Dad and Tif at Chuck  A Rama. We waited a little to be seated, the Mother's even got a rose. Thanks Chuck! Kids fav place to eat. And we all got to eat what we wanted for Mother's Day. Thanks Dad for taking us.

And then lots of crazy pictures with Lexi. Who likes to take selfies!!

 We tried to go to Grandma Price's but she wasn't home, only to find out we just missed her getting out of church.

We got home and took a nap and this kid found earrings. LOL, they are magnets. They look like Gage holes. Hoping and praying this kid doesn't do this one day!

 Brent and Julie and Heather and Grandma Great and Bill and Steph came up to our house for dinner. We insisted the boys do the work, although Julie did most of it earlier. They did make a salad. And the dishes and served dessert.

Dinner was fun, yummy and before we knew it, it was after 8 o'clock. We headed back to school the next day. Mike was glad the kids were going back. He spent the most time with them, because I was at work. Ha! Good for us to see a little reverse roles. Although, he hasn't figured out he needs to clean the house, do laundry and fix dinner. Baby steps. He made me some fun pallet projects for Mother's Day. I have a new tray and a picture frame in-addition to the projects he made for Tif and Julie and the projects he made for Relief Society.

I'm grateful for Mother's Day. While I missed Grammie, it was a good day. I'm grateful for the women who have shaped my role as a Mother. There are many who continue to do so daily. I'm grateful to be a Mother and care for these 4 kids. Can't believe the time that has flown by. 4-11 years old, so many new changes this year to be made. Love watching them and being blessed to be their momma.  Also grateful for my Daddy/Mommy and all that he has done to shape my life. Love living back in Utah. This month marks 6 years, and is also the longest that we have lived in one house. Hope that we find a job soon so we can keep it that way. Say a prayer for us.
