Jill's visit

Aunt Jill has always held a special Aunt place in my heart. She always mailed us letters with cute notes or funnies from the paper and always included a stick of gum. She found cute nick nacks and presents from the drug store that she'd bring in her back to Utah. I also enjoyed my cousins that came along. I remember going with Grama almost every summer to Northridge when I was younger, I know I went with my mom also but I don't remember those trips. So when she comes to town, I look forward to her visits but so do my kids!

She left a week ago but before she left we dropped by Grammies house to say goodbye. Jill wanted a picture of Grandpa Ardo's posterity wearing his fedora. Maddy is sporting it now!

While we were there we saw Aunt Sue and also cousin Laura and her family. I hope Jill got a picture of Frances-co later wearing the hat. It will travel the country to get pics with all the cousins.

With lots of cousins over the house got quite loud. After a while I heard ringing, poor Grandmother had removed her hearing aids and when they are on and together they make a high pitched noise. Ooops! We sent the boys to play outside which helped some.

And then we had some quick photo's with Jill. Jack and Jill

And then the rest of the crew.

We were having car problems while Jill was visiting--not that she was visiting to see us however. So we were not able to make it over except the one time. Grams and Jill came and had lunch with us at our house while we were carless. Grama is moving so Jill tried to come and take care of some of the details, we enjoyed a visit or two with her and Grama. We hope to take a road trip soon to go back and see Jill at her house--one day!

Two weeks later, 4 mechanics, mega bucks in addition to one day the van not starting when Mike was taking it to work we know have a new battery in the van. I never knew how much having 2 cars was a blessing. We were able to go some places on our bikes, friends took us to Chick a fila day and even to 7 peaks. We survived being stuck at home while Mike took the van to work. And we are glad to have 8 wheels on the road again!
