Utard

I can hardly believe it but we officially have been living in Utah for 1 year. What a whirl-wind year it was also. We are officially UTARDS! We'll, Mike and I always have been and our even though our kids are Idaho Spuds, we'll claim Utards also.

It all started last January when Mike was suddenly laid off from DotComSecrets and he looked on Craigs List of all places for work, when nothing was available in Boise, he applied in Salt Lake City at Crowell Advertising. He had a phone interview the next day, and a live interview the following day and an all weekend case study that landed him his dream job 8 days after being laid off.

10 days later, my parents came up to Boise with a trailer and we hauled off as much of our stuff as we could leaving furniture and bikes to stage the house to sell. My Grammie was gracious enough to let us stay with her until the house sold. Which thankfully our Realtor was amazing and 3 months later in a bad housing market sold. We began house hunting and waited til construction on our home was complete in mid May and have been in West Jordan ever since.

We love living back in Utah. We loved living in Boise can't believe it was 6 years but it is so nice to have family pop in at lunch, being able to enjoy Sunday dinners with cousins and having Grandparents that see the kids more then once a quarter and not to mention spending time with Grandma and Grandpa. As tough as it was loosing Mike's job last January, I'm glad we're back.
