8 Months

8 months: The start of 7 months Lilly didn't want anything to do with a bottle now when she sees a bottle she kicks her legs and gets so excited even if she is not hungry. A special thanks to Grandma Julie for loving my baby this month. I'm afraid Julie's back really hurts because I think Lilly wanted to be held the entire week I was out of town. I say that because the week I have been back home that's all Lilly wants to do.  Don't get me wrong I love holding my baby but it is hard to cook dinner, fold laundry and type on the keyboard!!

Here's a little of what Lilly was up to this month. I'm sure Julie has dozens of pictures of her first Thanksgiving. Did she like pumpkin pie? Did she like yams and stuffing or was she a big turkey and wouldn't eat anything? Julie will have to answer that for us.

Lilly is pretty stubborn when it comes to eating. I stuck her in her high chair for lunch and looked over and found this. At least most of what I gave her was consumed or on the floor!!
Ashlyn and Lilly 6 & 7 months. Lilly was so tired, she feel asleep right after this picture was taken amidst 6 cousins running around her.
Lilly loves to stand and pulls her self up everywhere.
Yep even in her crib. I left Julie to this. Sorry! By the end of the week at least she had figured out how to bend her knees. Once again, I know Julie held her lots because she had to rock her to sleep because it is hard to fall asleep while standing!
When I came home Lilly found her reflection in the fireplace at least this is why I think she crawls to the fireplace. She loves looking at herself in the mirror or fireplace glass for that matter.
Each of my kids has worn these pj's. Carter's has proved that they make jammies that are durable and kid proof! They have little duckies on them. Lilly probably resembles Jack the most, especially when she is in Jack's blue pj's!
This is the face Lilly pulls when you try to feed her baby food. I've given up on feeding her. She only wants to feed herself. We are now to the toddler phase of baby food. She loves cut up bananas, pears, yams, peaches and anything soft I can think of. She also loves crackers or any variety and cereal and my floor is a mess because most of it ends up there instead of in her mouth!
Lilly and Fluffy. I promise I do dress this child. Most of the pictures for this month seem to be in her jammies. LOL.
Technically this post is her highlights from 7 months but today 8 months and 3 days she cut her first tooth. She has been super drooly, now we know the reason! She loved the Popsicle I feed her but man was it all over both of us. Also at church on Sunday, Mack gave her her first sucker. Ya, I wasn't too thrilled about that one mostly because he had been sucking on it before he offered it to her. Let's hope she doesn't get strep throat like his little sister has!

What a cutie. My kids all wore the same ducky jammies too. Glad she is starting to eat for you.

Oh, hurray for teeth! Thanksgiving? She liked the bread. She is definitely a bread eater. And none of us got the pumpkin pie - at least not on that day. There's still some in my fridge - guess it's time to throw it away. I vote we make some fresh this weekend and share on Sunday. You busy?

I love seeing these photos. I miss that little stinker and the cheerios on the floor! I decided she liked dropping them as much as eating them! But she's definitely growing up fast.

Toddler food? What the what? She is growing so quickly, but oh so cute! My Alex also loved his reflection and would scream and talk to it so much that we named his reflection Dudley and they were the best of friends.
