The local Loveridge's went to breakfast at Bill & Stephanie's. Brent made stuffed french toast. It was delish, I'll have to get the recipe and post it. We topped them with blueberries or raspberries and then a spoonful of sour cream! YUM.
Just as we were getting ready to eat, Santa came to visit.

We hung out after breakfast and the kids colored with the art stuff they got from Santa. It was a perfect snowy activity. Yep, the snow was now coming down. It was predicted to be a white Christmas. In fact, the snow started on Christmas Eve and 4 days later we have TONS of snow. It has snowed every day since then. Even if I'm the one shoveling the driveway. Mike told me last night, I outta invest in a snow blower. Maybe, but then how would I could my exercising for the day as shoveling snow!
After breakfast and coloring and playing with our cousins, we went to see The Rise of the Guardians. One of Mike's family Christmas traditions was going to see a movie around Christmas. We love this tradition! We weren't sure how the movie would go with Lilly but gave it a shot. Unfortunately, we didn't get our tickets til last minute and the only thing that was left was the 1st and 2nd row. So we had front row tickets! But Lilly was mesmerized by the screen and by the time the movie started she was asleep.
WE LOVED the movie. It was a perfect kid movie and so fun. The Tooth Fairy, Jack Frost, Easter Bunny and Santa along with the Sand Man and the Bogey Man all were in it. It will one day make our family collection.
After the movie the snow was really coming down. We decided to head home instead of go to dinner at G&G's. I'm so glad we did. The roads were getting very slippery and covered in snow, the plows couldn't keep up with the snow.
We had a nice Christmas Eve dinner and still had plenty of time to get ready for Santa's visit. Grampa & Grama came and spent the night. Grampa tried to stay awake to see Santa but feel asleep. Glad someone did, I was too excited to sleep!
We set a plate of cookies out for Santa and ran outside to sprinkle food for the rein deer.

We still haven't had any significant snowfall here. My poor kids are dying to sled. I love those owl jammies. Gotta love when your kid switches up the Santa request at the last minute. That is when you tell them the elves have probably already moved on to wrapping and packaging and can no longer change orders.
I was grateful you made it home safe on Christmas Eve, though we missed enjoying your company for dinner. You got some great photos of the kids on Santa's lap! That was just so fun!

Beyblades were Jack's orginal gift from us. I had Bill call Mike and ask him if he was into those and Mike said he wasn't! Sounds like we should have kept them for him.
How many times did your kids get to visit with Santa?? No wonder you didn't come to the SLCC breakfast- lol :)
