When you arrive in Cabo, you have to take a tender because the ship docks out in the harbor. The tender takes you to the shore and then to get to the beach you can either walk which is very long or pay $2 for a water taxi.
The first day the tender lines were insane, Mike and I thought we missed my family but instead were in front of them. Somehow we missed each other when we got on land. The first day we walked and walked and walked, really it was literally like that primary song.ing. BUT it was worth it for lunch and shopping. We also found Nick and Tia and went searching for good Mexican lunch.
We asked for a good restaurant that wasn't trendy we never found the restaurant we were supposed to but found a place called The 3 Roosters aka Las Tres Gallos. The restaurant was outside and had several fruit trees and off to the side was the cocina (kitchen). While we were sipping our limonada and coca cola's Mike relaxed in the hamock.
Here's my lunch. It was so yummy! We also enjoyed chips and salas.
On one of the fruit trees, some little tangerines were growing. Our waiter picked some for us and we tasted them.
Nick's face shows it all! They were so sour!
Behind Nick you can see where the kitchen was and the cute lady that fixed us lunch.

We walked to the mall to use the restroom and pump and then headed back to the ship. Nick and Tia went to get Tia some lunch, she is picky and didn't even try her quesadilla she doesn't like white cheese. Mexican cheese is very different, I guess you either like it or don't! Nick,Mike and I enjoyed our meal. On the way back we did a little shopping. We got the kids some whistle necklaces, some vanilla and my new Ray Bons glasses aka Ray Bans!
That night our ship went out about 100 miles and then the next morning we woke back up in the Cabo Harbor. In order to open the casino's they have to be out a ways. LOL. Mike did loose $30 bucks that night. Or one of the nights, I forget which.
The next day we took a water taxi to do some sight seeing of the beaches before heading to Niki beach. Anna and I are ready to go!
The ugliest pelicans are in the harbor.
The famous beach in Cabo is called Lover's Beach. It is in the Sea of Cortez. On the other side the beach is called Divorce Beach. The Cabo Bay/Sea of Cortez meet the Pacific Ocean and the two make deadly waves. No one is allowed to go to Divorce beach because it is so dangerous. Even on the boat at Lover's Beach when 1/2 our boat got off, the guests all got wet from the big waves. Lover's Beach has no facilities, no food, no hecklers but lots of waves.
The middle rock is called Scooby Doo. Do you see him?
Famous Arch
Blurry picture but this is where the sea lions live. You can hear them talking arf arf arf.
Brody, Chad and Steve aka Dad went deep sea fishing. We were all invited but these 3 are the true lovers of fishing. ON the way back they had a sea lion jump on to the back of their boat begging for food. Brody wanted to pet him but he had LOTS of teeth. Brody caught a fish. We were going to cook it back at shore but ran out of time. The ship left early that day so we could make it to Puerto Vallarta the next morning. Cruises no longer stop in Mazatlan because it is too dangerous. They gave the fish to the captain and I'm sure he enjoyed a delicious dinner!
After our tour of Lover's Beach we landed at Niki Beach. Shortly after we found Tifani, Taylor, Josh, Emma, Jake and Alex. We got a table, ordered drinks, soaked our feet in the sand and we hit the sunbathing and the ocean.
Oh ya, these guys were here too. Selling everything and anything. I'm super glad this is not my profession.
I missed watching Brody, Chad and Anna's shots. I saw the video, it was quite the experience. She tried so hard to get the rest of us non drinkers to participate but didn't succeed.
And then we left Cabo and headed back to the ship for dinner.
And of course more games after dinner!
